giveaway winner

I found this baby in cat pajamas laying around the house.  Or is it lying?  Help me, grammar people!   She agreed to help me choose a winner for the Ellie Soo giveaway.  We decided to use the precise method of choosing a name out of a hat.  A baby sailor hat.

She dug in carefully... (On the second attempt - the first time she tried to eat the hat and scattered the names everywhere!)

...And found a winner that looked tasty.

Congratulations, divinelulucreations!  You're the chosen one!  Someone will be contacting you shortly about your prize.  A big thank you to everyone else who took the time to enter the giveaway!  And an even bigger thank you to Lauren of Ellie Soo for providing the prize!

we have a winner!

Out of the 13 comments on the mirror giveaway, random.org chose number 5! Which is... Barbara of Oodles and oodles!

For those of you who have never read her blog, go check it out! She's an excellent treasure hunter, as far as vintage things go - always finding amazing old items and displaying them in dreamy ways. You can often find those things in her Etsy shop, too!

Above and below: examples of what I mean by "dreamy" - two pictures from her blog. Barbara's pictures are lovely and her commentary is often hilarious, whether she's talking about knitting madness or anthropomorphomania [two of my favorite posts]. She's also quite talented at imagining the lives of people whose items she buys at estate sales (for example: Alice and Edna).

So, congratulations, Barbara! You'll soon have a new old mirror gracing your collection of items. Sorry, everyone else! I'll be on the look out for something else neat to giveaway next time!

we have a winner!

The results from the giveaway are in! 21 people left comments, and #17 was chosen as the winner. That's Liz!! Big big thank-yous to everyone else who commented (and sorry you didn't get chosen)! I will keep my eyes open for more neat prizes like that magazine. And perhaps next time I will choose names out of a large, ridiculous hat: pushing a button to choose a winner didn't seem official enough!

Today is lovely, but I'm an absolute sneeze-machine and my allergy problems are sucking the life out of me! I will be back tomorrow with answers to the rest of your questions and hopefully something a bit more exciting.
